In Import contacts, "For Duplicate Contacts" not working.

In Import contacts, "For Duplicate Contacts" not working, It's importing duplicate contacts. Though i created the rule, but still it's importing duplicate contacts ?

I want to skip duplicates in two condition

1. If database already have contact information .
2. If CSV File contains repeated contact information.

Are you using CiviRM v1.6? If yes why?

Can you try to replicate this on http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org

there is a bug in 3.1 (and maybe even earlier) and duplicate contacts. we are looking into it and will fix it soon

I'm using CiviCRM of version 3.1.2,  I tried the same thing on http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org, but here i get warning for duplicates row.

So what's the problem with my localhost CiviCRM. am i using old version ?

Can you upgrade to latest 3.1.x and check if that helps.
