Errors 9003 with Authorize.net and MD5
April 05, 2010, 02:02:21 pm
I am trying to setup Authorize.net as Payment processor and I am running into errors.
1- yes, PCRE and CURL are enabled and verified
2- Authorize.net works fine with ubercart on our drupal section of the website
3- Paypal works with CiviCRM Contribute and Events
I am getting an error 9003:MD5 Verification failed when the MD5 field is used.

Any idea what it can be or how to debug this?

Thanks

Does your website have a valid SSL certificate and within CiviCRM do you have "force SSL" enabled in global settings?  Often I've found that Authorize.net requires this.
Try CiviTeacher: the online video tutorial CiviCRM learning library.

Thanks, yes, we have a valid SSL certificate. I removed the MD5 hash from CiviCRM and now it workds, but I would prefer to have it.
As far as force SSL, I checked, and it is not enabled.
When i try, it complains, though that "You need to set up a secure server before you can use the Force Secure URLs option"
Not sure what they mean and where to check. Any idea?
Thanks

I had the same problem.  The authorize.net MD5 value is the non-hashed value, while the CiviCRM value is the hashed value.
