Mix between Activities and Events tab (no events tab and no activities records)
April 06, 2010, 09:40:04 am
Hi everyone!

I have a problem with a fresh new installation of Civi (3.1.3) with drupal (6.16). The problem is quite simple:

In the detail of an individual, the tab events is missing and the tab Activities shows what should be displayer in the events tab.

I have checked in the configuration settings (for showing or not a tab) and event with it's check-box doesn't exist. I don't know if it's a bug or if a have missed a configuration step.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Jérémie

Hm, strange. Can you check whether you have CiviEvent enabled in the components list?

Hi Piotr,

You helped me a lot!

I am using the Spanish translation so first I switch to English.

1. I disabled the CiviEvent modul. As a result the "Activities" tab disappeared.
2. Then I enabled back the CiviEvent modul so the tab Event appeared
3. In the site Preferences the activities check box was disabled so I just had to enable it to have the 2 tabs with their corresponding contents.

I think that the conflict may come from the fact that I use the Spanish translation. Now I have the 2 tabs, "Events" and "Activities", but they have the same name "Actividades".

I don't know if you have already heard something about this error... I'll try to talk with the translation group to see if they know something about it.

I hope that my case will help the rest of the community!

Thanks a lot,
Jérémie

Hm, this is strange – the current 3.1 Spanish translation for ‘Events’ is ‘Eventos’.

Can you try replicating this issue on our demo install?
