How to display event filter on customized online registration webpage
April 09, 2010, 07:36:28 am
Hi,

I had set up a prototype event and invited registration via an URL in email.    I also set up a few events grouped by event type e.g. Youth, Senior, Newcomers etc.

I now have a couple of questions:
1.   I want to include the event Type on a customized webpage, so that Volunteer can filter events by Type and register online.   How do I do this?
2.   There is also need to filter events by Volunteer Interest (this is a custom field), Date, or Location.   Is this possible and how do I do this?

Thank you for your input.

1. you could do this with drupal views. create a new view for civicrm events, add an exposed filter on event type.
2. not positive about this, but if you add a custom field connected to events, then that field might be available to the view as well and you can do the same as the above on it. Date and location are already accessible in views so you can add an exposed filter for them as well.
