civiRoles Sync strange behavior

Hello all,

I'm trying to use civiroles sync to connect my civicrm members to drupal users.

When i update my own membership role, it syncs with my admin user account, and it shows the new membership type next to my user.

But when i create a new user, and give them membership of any kind, no new users are created, even after manually rebuilding!!

I'm really confused why no users are created.

i dont think civiroles sync will create new users

wow. how can that be that i totally misunderstood the use of this module. i will need some insight:

if a user is to have their own personal login to drupal which is in turn linked to their membership, how do you recommend i set up the signup process so both civicrm membership sign up and drupal sign up are linked?

also for all new logins, you can potentially use the Profile feature of "Creating a CMS login" (in advanced settings) and include that profile in the membership page

Thanks lobo, i've checked that off. and when i register and do the sign up part, it says the users table doesn't exist.

All good comments, and they reveal more complexity than I first recognized. Here's what I am going to do:
There is a "Join Us" item on the front page. Clicking on that takes you to a CiviMember page (which for some reason has to be produced through CiviMember). In the CiviProfile that comes up, I am going to add the following check boxes:
__ I already have a www.mysite.org account
__ I want to set up a www.mysite.org account (with these instruction in the post-form instruction: click on the Home button at the top of the page when you are done with  this form, then on Create New Account in the upper left corner).
__ Please set up a www.mysite.org account (post-form: may take several days)
__ Do not set up a www.mysite.org account for me
