Custom data (and other types of data) doesn't save consistently
April 09, 2010, 08:34:34 pm
I am finding a fairly frequent problem with getting CiviCRM to save field data when I create custom fields for event price sets and contact custom fields.  When I create the field and hit return to save it, the data often (but not always) does not save.  It is taking me two or three times creating the new field before I can get it to save.  What is going on????!!!!

This is not a new issue for me.  I have several CiviCRM installations for different Drupal websites using the same URL, but with separate CiviCRM MySQL databases for each.  All of the CiviCRM installations exhibit this same problem.  Is it related to the URL perhaps?  Have I failed to configure something correctly?  It is all very frustrating and irritating.

I had a period recently when I was experiencing a similar frustration - ie I would set up something, click Save and then find myself back at the form with no information saved - but i think i was getting problems in drupal config as well as civicrm and put it down to either some odd browser behaviour or something else. It seems to have passed. So no help for you i'm afraid but thought I was indicate that you may not be alone.
