Changing domains and IP addresses
April 11, 2010, 02:16:29 pm
I had my webmaster install Drupal/CiviCRM on the same server and under the same domain as our web site. For a number of reasons, my organization needed to point our domain to a web site hosted on a different server with a different IP Address. Even though our new site is built in Drupal we are not able to migrate our CiviCRM instance to the same server. Now, none of our CiviCRM links work. Our webmaster is trying to point our CiviCRM pages back to the original IP but so far, no luck. We've gone as far as creating a subdomain and updating .php files with the new subdomain. That seems to work in part but we're unable to access the admin menus directly or see any of the existing data.

Help!

Have you look at or worked through Moving an Existing Installation to a New Server or Location?

What do you mean precisely by "none of our CiviCRM links work"? What do you click on and what happens? And what is the URL?

FatherShawn's advice is very good. Also be sure to rebuild your menus via: /civicrm/menu/rebuild?reset=1
