Integration with Google Analytics e-commerce?
April 11, 2010, 05:01:15 pm
I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to configure Google Analytics' ecommerce function to track purchases of event registrations and contributions in CiviCRM.  Thus far I haven't had any luck from reviewing the Google documentation - though if I understand correctly, here may be a way to insert code somewhere in the core files for tracking - and I haven't found any modules that accomplish this.

Has anyone successfully found a way to accomplish this without messing with Civi's code?

If not, I might suggest a feature request somewhere in the CiviCRM configuration to set this up, or be curious if anyone's contemplating developing a module.

This could be achieved either by customizing a CiviCRM template or by writing a small Drupal module to insert the code.

If you can't do this yourself, you could consider hiring a professional--this is a very small job for a developer.

Wow, that's great. Unfortunately in the blog post the code is unreadable. Perhaps you can post it here and maybe even link it from there? Maybe in a new forum thread.

Beautiful. If I had another comment to make, I would just say to attach the patch file itself to the blog post. But anyway it's much better now. Thanks.
