I am using OpenID and I get this error everytime:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

We can't load the requested web page. This page requires cookies to be enabled in your browser settings. Please check this setting and enable cookies (if they are not enabled). Then try again. If this error persists, contact the site adminstrator for assistance.

Error type: Could not find a valid key.

Cookies are enabled, so....?

Turns out standalone version is being phased out, so you may not want to waste your time on it... just bite the bullet, install Drupal, and consider CiviCRM as an add-on module for Drupal (which is kinda how it works)!
