Mailman sync -- not working. I have something wrong, but what?

I've been following the instructions at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Mailman+synchronization trying to get this working (on Dreamhost). 

Ultimately what I end up with is:
Running /usr/sbin/sync_members -w=no -g=no -f /home/user/example.com/bin/sync2mailman.txt web 2>&1 sh: /usr/sbin/sync_members: No such file or directory

I think the problem is in the last few lines of code,
Code: [Select]
SyncList('All Contacts (Smart Group)','7'); // specify your mailing list name and CiviCRM group id here
// repeat for each list
?>

Is the mailing list name I'm specifying here my CiviMail smart group? Or is it my Dreamhost list "name" (web@example.com)? 
(Neither works - both giving the error above, and neither actually does anything to the Dreamhost list.)

Well, a little investigation shows that the part of the script that pulls the data out of CiviCRM is working fine. I now have a txt file chock full of information. It's just not making it into Dreamhost's Announcement List. Off to their forums to see if I can find some help. . .

Decided to try support there instead. Got a quick but unpleasant response:

And now we know. Does not and will not work with Dreamhost.

Just talked to Hostmonster's support, and they won't support this usage either.
Anyone know who will, or a non VPS that will allow sending to a list of 1000?
