Address fields not displaying

Hello,

Hopefully this is the right place to post this issue.  I am trying to get civiEvent to work properly but it does not.  The Address Fields checkboxes are not displaying for some reason on the "Address Settings" page under "Global Settings", and thus there are no address fields for me to enter the address of an event when trying to create a new event.  Anyone know the solution to this problem?  Thanks.

So, you are running CiviCRM 1.8 or 1.9 and your Global Settings >> Address Settings page does NOT look like this:
http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/address

Did you upgrade this site from an earlier CiviCRM version?
 
... then it may be because you upgraded from an earlier version and didn't do the template cache cleanup described here:

Thanks for the quick response.

I am running CiviCRM 1.8 and my Address Settings page does not look like the demo site.  All the checkboxes in the Address Fields are not displaying.  That field is completely blank for me.

No, I did not upgrade CiviCRM from an earlier version.  This is the first time I've installed it to my site.
