Errors after successful PayPal Pro transaction
October 12, 2007, 11:03:42 am
I'm working to get PayPal Pro setup on a site. I was making progress working out some of the kinks, but have run into something on the CiviCRM side of things.

When I walk through the contribution and click the confirmation to initiate the transaction, I get an error page with the following:

Code: [Select]
[pear_error: message="Connection refused" code=111 mode=callback callback=CRM_Core_Error::handle prefix="" info=""]
)
[pear_error: message="not connected" code=0 mode=callback callback=CRM_Core_Error::handle prefix="" info=""]

The trick is-- the transaction worked-- the payment shows up in my PayPal account. So I know the settings are working. But something's going wrong after the transaction takes place. This occurs on both front end transactions and those entered through the administration tools.

Another thing of concern that I noticed --
I have the force SSL pages turned on, which is working fine on front end pages (it switches to the secure location for the contribution pages). However, I noticed that if I enter a contribution for a user from the contributions tab on their record, it does not use a secure page. Since credit card data is collected and processed through that page, it's obviously pretty important that it be a secured page. Anyone know how to hack that page and force the secure page as a short term solution?

Ok, I think I've identified the problem. It has to do with the confirmation email, not with the contribution process. So scratch the earlier post.
