Hi all,

I've had a look at the CiviEvent demos and am suitably impressed at what it offers as open source :-)

My question:

I organise a number of international conferences around Europe for students, and this looks ideal to receive their user information. If I understand correctly, I will be able to add custom fields that allow me to collect any extra info I may need.

However, often I need to collect airport arrival and departure dates etc, which participants often need to change after having registered. So, is their a way that they can be given a login or something similar automatically, so they can come back in and change details after having submitted a form?

You can include CiviCRM Profile on your Event registration Page with the custom fields. If you want to create login for the Participants you might want to use "Drupal user account registration option?" in Profile. Then you can have another profile which can contain other details that you might want to collect.
