Come to Albania and Kosovo this September for our conferences
April 17, 2010, 01:16:42 pm
I am working with the free software groups in Kosovo (flossk.org) and
Albania (flossal.org).

We would like to localize the civicrm software into the Albanian language,
can you please add the sq_AL (Shqip/Albanian) language to the pootle site:
http://translations.civicrm.org

I would like to have a place to register ngos, they have so many in
kosovo and albania.  It would be great to have a big server to host
them all. I would like to put together a project team to port to
wordpress or use facebook authentication. Is there anything being done
for that:

Here is the server I have setup, it is standalone, and I am told that
will be discontinued. that is a shame, we should continue work on it.
I would be interested. Why not?

We would like to invite you all to come to our conferences this year,

FREESB10

On Sept.11/12 2010 Flossk with flossal.org and Uni Vlore is organising the first Software Freedom in Balkans Conference:

SFK10

On Sept 25/26 Flossk with the Uni Prishtina is organizing the second edition of the successful conference Software Freedom Kosova 2010 http://kosovasoftwarefreedom.org/

here is my call for help to all the free software communities, I have
listed you.

Thanks

We'll do it later next week.

I'm not familiar with work around CiviCRM's wordpress and facebook integration - but maybe other could share some examples of that.

You can read the rationale on dropping support for Standalone here:
http://civicrm.org/blogs/lobo/dropping-support-civicrm-standalone-v32

It also lists rough set of responsibilities that would need to be taken care of to keep standalone supported. If you think you have appropriate skillset and time to do it, feel free to get in touch with us on IRC, on #civicrm channel.

Thx,
m
