Import fails for Uttarakand state in India
April 19, 2010, 08:45:28 am
The database still only has Uttaranchal, India as the state name, and of course, it hasn't been that for a while.  I reported this in January, when I was at the office in Mumbai.

How can I add an alternative name (to civicrm_state) so that both are possible during import (since this seems to be the way that the state government is handling it)?

I was thinking of just putting in another record, with the same ID value, but it depends a lot on how your SQL is written as to whether or not that is feasable.

Thanks

Donald Lobo

we currently dont support alternate names :(

the id is the primary key and you cannot have two entries with the same id
