Recurring contribution using civicontribute api

Hi, All,

I used Drupal form API with CiviContribute API to create a online donation form.
And I have a problem with inserting contribution record to civicrm.
Is there a way to add a recurring contribution to civicrm via API?
If not, I'd like to update database directly, which tables I should update to mark a contribution as a recurring one?
