how to use drupal location module table zipcodes for new user registration

Dear all ,

appreciate   if someone can help me with clue's  on  how-to create new user registration form using  zipcodes table of location module ( zipcodes table in drupal database ( assuming we have separate database for civicrm ) .

The idea is to  give user  a drop down select box to choose his pincode( on choosing  his respective state  & option to fill a  neighbourhood  field(  custom field) .
so that  we populate  all pincodes for  all state's  in single table &  use it for user registration .

this is probably difficult to integrate into civicrm user registration without a fair amount of hacking the core civicrm code.

Ideally we would need to build a country -> state -> city -> zipcode ajax based hierarchical selector which loads just a small amount of data based on the previous selection (i.e. selecting a country, determines what states are displayed etc).

If you could build something like this in a configurable way using the dojo toolkit that would be awesome and we could integrate it into various parts of civicrm. if u need more details we can chat on IRC
