Tried Everything I could - civicrm will not install

Hi, so, obviously the automatic installs did not work.

Tried the manual: extracted to local machine, uploaded to server root, went to joomla's back en component install and selected the INSTALL FROM with the correct path to the civicrm upload.

Memory in htaccess is about 100 and time is 600

When doing the automatic install, I get NO message.  I just get returned to the control panel of the back-end.

When trying the manual install, I get this message:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@lewensentrum.co.za and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.lewensentrum.co.za Port 80

PHP 4.4.4
MYSQL 4.1.22 standard
Apache you see above.

Please assist

As the error message states:

"More information about this error may be available in the server error log."

Please check your server error log and get more specific and detailed information. This will enable you (and us) to help debug the issue

Try uploading the zip file and unpacking it to a temp folder online (rather than unzipping locally and ftping).
What version Joomla are you using?
