Linking Profiles wiki and Joomla problem
April 22, 2010, 07:48:23 am
Reading the wiki at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Linking+Profiles only lists the links for Drupal, and not Joomla.

While it's easy to fix up the URL for Joomla, the links don't work for me. I have tried both create and edit, and they both just result in a display of search results with a blank search form. This exposes ALL the contacts in the database, which I don't want  :o. For example:

Code: [Select]
http://www.mysite.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/profile/edit?reset=1&gid=N
I'd be glad to edit the wiki page to add the "for Joomla" examples, but not until I knew what was going wrong here. (I don't get create or edit options this way).

I can get an edit form on the front end via menu, but that link is quite different, and it's going through the menu system, obviously.

Code: [Select]
http://www.mysite.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Profiles&Itemid=141
