Batch Update results in a out of Memory Error

When trying to preform a batch update via profile on a saved group I'm getting an out of member error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in modules/civicrm/packages/HTML/QuickForm/select.php on line 305

My php memory limit is set to 128M -- should be high enough.  Any ideas?

No memory error as long as I don't attempt to update more then 15 records at a time.
