CiviMail and non-latin characters in content
April 23, 2010, 04:13:14 pm
Preparing a newsletter with CiviCRM 3.1.3 I was getting a fatal error after saving and then trying to continue from Stage 3 to Stage 4. That has been reported elsewhere and the solution was to make sure to paste content copied from Word via the dedicated icon. That did not work for me (I was opening a Word document with Open Office) and I narrowed the problem down to the existence of Litoměřice (a place name in the Czech Republic) in the middle of the document. Now with just that word in the html content, clicking Next to go from Stage 3 to Stage 4 dumps me back at Stage 1. Using Litomerice avoids the problem. It only took an entire evening to find that one!
