I am seeking a "beginner's guide" to setting up the dashboard. This Dashboard is the one which I get to by selecting "CiviCRM Home" from the "Home menu".

On the Dashboard, I would like to have a list of attendees for each of my events as well a list of who has recently been added to our contact list, say for the last 3 months...

I have not found anything in the online manual, nor faqs, nor floss manual to walk me thru this setup. Could you please point me to where I can read, learn and set up my dashboard.

I think there is/ was a mini-sprint this week to work on Floss manual but it doesn't yet cover civi-report. If you do configure civireports then there is an option within them to expose them on as applets for the dashboard
