Trying to limit access to custom profile but it is available to everybody!
April 24, 2010, 08:16:21 pm
Using 3.1.4 and Drupal 6.16.

I have setup a custom profile for entering new contact data.

I have "Limit listings to a specific Group" set to a group called Administrators.

The problem is, that EVERYBODY, even anonymous users (not logged in) have access to this form. I have not changed the default permissions in Drupal for an anonymous user, so they access to Profiles and Forms, but I would think there should be some way to limit access to each individual profile form!

Have I missed a step somewhere? Anybody know what I did wrong?

Thanks

Eileen

You can increase the access to a specific profile via ACL but not restrict it. You need to remove the drupal permission & add specific permissions back in using the ACL

Ok, so the Drupal permissions overrides the ACL permissions?

What if I have other forms or profiles that DO require anonynous access? Can ACL be used to grant permissions to anonymous users as well?

Thanks

The user gets the more open of the two permissions.

Yes to the second question
