Changing Order of Fields in CiviReport

I've created a report based on the Constituent Report (Summary) template.  I've added several custom fields, but I don't see any way to alter the order of the fields in the report.

I'm sorry for the simplicity of this question, but is there an easy way to adjust the order of columns in a report?

I dont think there is an easy way to do so right now. We've basically automated the insertion of custom fields and dont really control the order too much

You should be able to do this by customizing the template (but that would involve hardcoding the various custom fields)

Thanks for clarifying.  Beyond very small changes, I'm not much a programmer so the ability to decide on the order of fields would be a huge help.  Do you think it would be worth logging as a development request somewhere?

You can create a topic in feature requests and suggestions and post there

in general as an open source project, we rely on the community to contribute code improvements. If you are not a programmer, hiring someone to develop it would help
