Not use middle initial in email To:
April 26, 2010, 03:35:50 pm
Unfortunately, I've loaded middle initials into the contact record.  Now emails sent, use the middle initial in the email name.  I'd rather just email first and last because with the middle it seems too formal.

How is the easiest way to solve this.  I've tried uploading a file with blank middle names, but blanks do not overwrite values.

Thinking maybe modify the mailer or how the display name is defined.

I think this is important.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

That does seem to be a good change.

I found on another post how to modify the setting of the display name in the individual.php file.  This requires an update, but I think I can do that just reloading the name fields.  Testing now and seems to be working as expected.   Then in 3.2 I could switch them back and use the tokens for the email.

Thanks.
