Get contacts from search result in tasks hook?

Is it possible to retrieve the contacts in search results from the tasks hook ?

I would like to change the contents of the tasks list according to the contact group(s).

And is it possible to loop on the selected contacts before executing the task?

I believe you are referring to the hook_civicrm_searchTasks hook.

It does not appear possible to obtain the search results from that hook, no. AFAIK.
