I've got some projects currently on Salsa.  CiviCRM is much more flexible and I want to get the clients to consider either switching or using them in conjunction so we can use some civi features. However,  switching is potentially risky.
What I'm hoping to do is find (or build) a tool that will keep the supporter databases between civiCRM and the current systems (salsa) in sync.  This way, lets say for a given email blast,  we can have them happen in either.
A master/slave setup would be ok too, where all member signups or donations would happen in the master which would sync downstream to civi.

Anyone built something like this? 

joshalot, dd you ever get the syncing working, with hooks or otherwise?
