hi,
i was not sure this was the right place to post this but thought i would start here.

If you delete a mailing list group than all of the "sent" CiviMailings that included that group are also deleted. this results in loss of mailing history/archival information which is very important to the people doing the mailings.

there have been several posts about the above issue and one post can be viewed here: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=13498.new;topicseen#new.

the afsc is considering sponsoring a fix for this issue and rather than pay folks in a consulting firm who are not familiar with the code, i would like to request a quote for how much it might cost for the core developers to do this.

is this the right place to make such a request? if not could you please let me know how go about making such a request?
