Extentending Core...

Hello, I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post but not sure where else to put it. This is a general question... I am a newbie to CiviCRM and Droople - I am evaluating whether this particular combination of tools is appropriate for our organization.  I understand that Droople has something like 5,000 contributed modules that work in coordination with the Drupal core and could be in turn used to enhance CiviCRM.  But my question is, are there contributed modules written specifically for CiviCRM that are on this site? I looked around and I did not see any contributed modules section but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place... Thanks.

They are not on this site, they are mostly stored at drupal.org. A few of course actually ship with CiviCRM, so you will find those in the download of CiviCRM itself. For more information about other modules available, see here:

http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/civicrm
http://civicrm.org/node/228
http://civicrm.org/node/464

Might be nice to have a Wiki page about this here. Or perhaps a taxonomy term on drupal.org. I see there is this page actually http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMUPCOMING/Drupal+Integration+Modules

Anyone have an opinion about me adding a list of these other modules to that page?
