CiviGroup Roles Sync and Authenticated Users

I'm trying to create a CiviCRM Group for all my Drupal users. Thought I could use CiviGroup Roles Sync, but it doesn't list "authenticated" (the role assigned to all users) so that's a dead end. Any suggestions?

End goal is to send an occasional email to all users via CiviCRM.

how about using a smart group?

do a search by clicking on CMS User? in advanced search (top panel, below search profiles)

and save the results as a smart group
