404 errors

I was having trouble earlier installed CiviCRM onto a new Joomla installation earlier, so ended up using joomcivi instead.

Everything installed properly, and I took care of the required manual adjustments to the config files, but now when I use some (but not all) the links in the CiviCRM component, an extra "/joomla/" gets added to the URL and I can't figure out why. (creating a 404 error everytime you click on a breadcrum or most menu items) Neither of the config files that I adjusted have any reference to it.

I did a search of the CiviCRM database, looking for references to file names with /joomla/ and I find references to it in the table "civicrm_menu" (268 matches), "civicrm_preferences" (1 match). Should I just adjulst them all with a sql query or is there a better place to make that adjustment?

I could also use mod_rewrite to adjust the links and remove the "/joomla/" but there's got to be a better way... suggestions?

I'm not quite sure the joomla variant of the URL but you need to do a civicrm menu rebuild

In Drupal you would hit this URL:

http://yourdomain.com/civicrm/menu/rebuild?reset=1

I think about step 8 here should help

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC21/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location
