Author Topic: Bug? addressee_display not updated when adding address to contact (Read 877 times)

Hello,

When generating mailing labels, the name of some contacts is not displayed, just the address.

I found out that civicrm use addressee_display field.

This field is not updated when i update a contact, even if i update contact name.

Can someone confirm this bug ? should i submit ?

can you reproduce this on demo?

A few people have complained about it, so i do think there is a bug or two in there that does not update the addresee_display field. we just need to figure out under what scenarios. reproducing it would definitely help us catch and fix the bug

I tried to reproduce bug on demo, but couldnot:

1. create a new contact
2. edit it and add address then create a label: ok (name correctly displayed)
3. edit contact, change last name then create label: ok (name change reflected)

on my system, 2 gives me an address without a name
3 gives me the old name.

but civicrm version seems different no ?

Has anyone discovered what this bug/issue is? I'm running into a similar problem (3.1.5 release) I haven't isolated it yet.
