CiviMail Attachments
May 18, 2010, 03:12:47 am
Hi Guys,

One of our customer is using CiviMail to send emails with attachments. Recently they have reported that some of the recipients are receiving attachments but some of them are not. Have you seen any problems like this before?

They are using version 2.2.8 with sendmail to send their emails.

Thanks
R

Do you know how big the attachments are that they are trying to send? It's possible it is getting rejected on the receiving end if the mailbox has a max size for accepting attachments.

Emily,

Thanks for the reply but bounce backs are not happening either. And the problem is visible in the same domain (sometime even internal) as well.

The emails reach the recipient without attachment (the text is all there). If it was a bounce back the emails shouldn't have reached at all (as I understand).

Can you try getting a copy (with full headers, etc.) of such two emails from one mailing (one with attachments, one without them)? This might give you a clue on why they differ so much.
