editing custom Participant fields
May 18, 2010, 12:17:43 pm
Hi,

I have an event registration form that uses a profile to pull in several custom fields.  This works fine.

I also need my staff to be able to edit those fields in some cases.  I expected that custom Participant fields might show up on the Edit Participation form, just as custom Contact fields do on the Edit Contact form.  But no luck.

Am I looking in the right place?  Are custom Participant fields supposed to be editable somewhere?  Is there any set of configurations or Drupal modules that I need to set up to enable this?

Thanks,
Allen

custom participant fields do show up in edit/view participant records

the custom fields are loaded via AJAX. so depending on what the participant "custom group" extends, you'll need to pick the right values in the form for those fields to load (i.e. event name or type or participant role etc)

Okay, I see.   I had configured the custom data group for Participants (Event name) but not set any event name, so it was not showing for this event.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
