Install error

I'm having a problem installing v1.8 using the Automated Installer.

After I point browser to: http://localhost/drupal/sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/install/index.php

I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function posix_getpwuid() in C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\sites\all\modules\civicrm\drupal\install\index.php on line 368

Any help would be appreciated.

This is now fixed in v1.9 and will be part of the next release
