User cancels their event regsitration
May 20, 2010, 10:35:46 am
Is there a way for a user to cancel their event registration? ( This was previously discussed at: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,4571.msg20062.html#msg20062 )

If I were to write a customization to implement this feature, what would the best approach be?  I was thinking that the person could do this from their "User Dashboard" since that already lists all events they are registered for.

Thanks

To implement what I need, I ended up hacking up the user contact dashboard for the "events" section and added links to a special profile so the person could cancel or mark themselves as attended. The profile is intercepted by a custom hook that I wrote, which calls the participant API to update their status.

Its a bit ugly, but it works.  I would like to add another link that would allow someone to pay online if the event registration is pending on a "pay later" contribution.
