Date validation errors when adding a membership
October 20, 2007, 09:04:39 am
I've recently installed CiviCRM and I have an error when adding a membership. I have set the date to be the (UK) standard of DD-MM-YYYY (i.e. %d %m %Y in Complete Date in Global Settings). When I add a membership on a contact record, the month in the Join Date field is set to -month- rather than the month number for the current day, which is what I would expect and it fails to save with an error "Select a valid date.". The Date-Time picker is also unavailable.

It looks as if it is expecting to validate against the month name - it certainly works if I change it back to a month name.

Is this an error, or is there some other setting out of the many that I have missed.

Tim

Can you replicate this on http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal. If you are able to replicate, please file an issue in bug tracker.

thanx

Did you solve this one? I seem to be having the same problems.

I can duplicate this on demo.civicrm.org, when I change the date input format to %Y %m %d. CiviMember cannot seem to handle %m correctly. The current month does not get set as the default and when saving I get "* Select a valid date."

Hi all!

I'am using CiviCRM Version 1.9.12432 and the same error occurs when I set the input date format to "%d %m %Y". The bug seems to be fixed (http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-2599), but I don't know if its already done in 1.9.13019 (the newest version available on sourceforge). Is there a description to import patches somewhere, so i could manually add the fix?

thx for helping!
gerhard

This is fixed in CiviCRM v2.0, backporting this fix would be difficult, since lot of stuff is changed in v2.0
