Limit Class Size
May 20, 2010, 07:24:30 pm

We are using Drupal for to register Boy Scouts for Merit Badge classes at summer camp and really need help.
We are using Webforms to have them select with classes they want. Some of the classes have class size limits. I can't figure out how to either gray out a class that is full or simply hide a class that is full.
For example, Rifle is limited to 8 scouts. When the 9th scout tries to register, I was hoping the form could check the database, see that that class is full, and hide it from number 9 and all subsequent registrations.

Or, is there another way to register scouts for merit badges? Right now, there are 6 periods in a day, and there are 6 weeks of camp.

To register for a week at camp, we use CiviCRM, but I couldn't figure out how to register the merit badge classes in CiviCRM, so we moved to the webform solution.  I'd rather keep it all in CiviCRM.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

You might want to consider extending the CiviSchool class system to handle this. However this will require some development either by you or by a consulting org. If you are not a developer, please contact web access (from our professional services listing, http://civicrm.org/professional/) and they can help out

CiviSchool info is here:

The webform_civicrm module now handles events with registration limits, FYI.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.
