Question on how to accept member after submitting profile - Joomla
May 21, 2010, 02:33:08 pm
We have a working online profile setup in Joomla that will take all the future member info that we would like to have on file. Our question is: Once the profile is submittted, the user pays through Paypal,
we are alerted to the payment, we can see the new user in the reports, etc. Now.... how do we go
from this to assigning a username and password for the new user once we decide to accept him.
I could not find the answer on the forum or in the manual. Do we need to have the Joomla
login enabled, disabled or does it matter. Is there a setup that we missed somewhere that allows the
user to setup his own user name and pasword to be used after he is manually accepted?
Could someone please point us in the right direction? and can this process be automated so that
after a user pays that they are automatically accepted?
Joomla 1.5, CiviCRM 3.02
Thank you

If you are using CiviCRM Profile then you can have a Joomla user account registration option in Advance settings of the profile. Which allow user to select their desired username and password  for joomal user account.
Also you can create a contribution page and include your profile in that contribution page along with membership(if any)  which will also help to accept the payment for  that and assign him a membership.

You can try out the things at Joomla sandbox
