newbie want to create new campaign

Hi,
 ??? Please help I'm newbie in civi
I'm running an NGO and i have a yearly scholarship campaign that i do fund raising for.
Each and every time that i meet a donor and he give me a donation i would like it to appear as a part of that years campaign. 
This campaign is not on the web but i see ppl in order to donate, and the amount can very from 100$ to any other amount.
how can i do that?

CiviCRM can use two things to differentiate contributions:

1) Contribution Type
2) Contribution Source

Contribution Type is more general like: donation, dues, event fees
Source is more specific like: Holiday Party, 2010 Annual Meeting, 5k Walk in Chicago, etc.
Try CiviTeacher: the online video tutorial CiviCRM learning library.

hi,
I need t understand how to work it step by step.
If i want to have a campaign name "scholarship for 2010"
my goal is $50000 and i want to see all the time how close am i to the goal
where do i create it?
then 5 ppl gave me $10000 each where should i put it the donation so i can see that the donation is a part of that campaign?
is there a campaign page that shows me info about how many ppl donated and how much each donated?
