After installing CiviCRM dashbord keeps "loading" for ever!

I installed CiviCRM and then when I go to the CiviCRM config page it says "loading" and stays like that for ever.
Any ideas?

I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDocumentRAW::addCustomTag() in /home3/speedint/public_html/vancouverweddingphotographer/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/System/Joomla.php  on line 148

Hello Joshbc ,

Wanted to know if  XAJAX plugin is installed and enabled in your joomal install.
If yes, can u give a try disabling the plugin ?

Hi,
No I don't have it at all. However now I am trying to reinstall CiviCRM but I can't delete the database tables. Can you help me with that?
Looks like I am getting an error removing those tables: "Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails"

Are you deleting the database tables from phpmyadmin ?

If not, you can also uninstall the civicrm component from  extensions - > install/uninstall ->components -> civicrm   which will delete all the tables in civicrm database.  But for that you have to do the below changes in file , <joomladirectory>/administrator/components/com_civicrm/uninstall.civicrm.php  
 

// Make uninstall = true  so that all the table will get automatically deleted after uninstalling civicrm component.
$uninstall = true;

Hi,
Thank yo for your help. I think that my webhost support team has removed some of the tables so now I cannot uninstall ciciCRm at all. I get this error message, how can I delete the tables directly via phpmyadmin, it is not allowing me to delete the tables:

    Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

    DB Error: no such table

    Database Error Code: Table 'speedint_wedding.civicrm_preferences' doesn't exist, 1146

    Return to home page.

As some of your tables are already been deleted, you have to delete rest all tables manually from phpmyadmin(or by terminal, if you have ssh access) by selecting all the tables.

Make sure you have a backup of your database :)

Hi,
I have tried for two days to remove the tables by hand with phpmyadmin but I get this message:
#1217 - Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails
I can't get rid of these tables. This is very bad.

Please refer com_civicrm/civicrm/sql/civicrm_drop.mysql file for the sequence to drop tables.
