domain id missing 3.1 alpha to 3.1.4
May 31, 2010, 07:37:09 am
Hello, after following the upgrade steps, when I reinsert my sql datadump back into civi, I get white screens and errors when going to any civicrm menu.

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

DB Error: no such field

Database Error Code: Unknown column 'option_value.domain_id' in 'where clause', 1054

Return to home page.

When I check my civicrm_option_value table in civi, I have no domain_id column. Was this removed in the newer version, or did I skip something or not notice something in the upgrade?

Partial solution:

Uninstalled and reinstalled civicrm 3.1.4. Manually removed the DROP statements from my sql dump from 3.1alpha. This was done in order to comply with the new data scheme of 3.1.4 and yet insert data from old db. It's at least not giving me blank screens anymore, but I'm hesitant to try this on my live working server until I can confirm this is an okay method.

Any thoughts?

I really am entirely frustrated now. I've tried countless times to upgrade from 3.1alpha to 3.1.4 (now 3.1.5). I've followed the methods at the following URLs

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Upgrade+Joomla+Sites+to+3.1
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Ensuring+Schema+Integrity+on+Upgrades

And what I eventually get, after putting my data back in, is one of two things. If I have the dumped data overwrite the upgraded database, I get foreign key errors. If I just add the data into the upgraded database scheme, I get a blank white screen, with nothing in my logfile.

Can I really be the only person who is having trouble here?

During the replacing of data, mysql returned an error that several tables could not be updated. These were data tables and import_job tables, so I removed these from my dumpfile.

Also, I'm trying to import data that was saved from another server, so the directory structure is a bit different, but I thought I'd updated this information in the dumpfile as well, whenever I found a path from the old server, I replaced it with the current path on the new server.

Any help is appreciated.
