Email time issues
May 31, 2010, 10:25:04 am
I send a mailing to 3000 contacts. CiviMail shows that all were sent successfully, but my cron emailed me that 'Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded' (I have updated my php.ini settings so this won't happen again)

Question is, were all really sent as CiviMail claims, or did it time out as php/cron claims?

I’m not 100% sure these two are mutually exclusive, actually; I’m pretty sure we don’t mark any email as ‘sent’ unless we’ve got a positive return code from the relevant mailer, so if I were to guess/bet, I’d say the whole mailing was sent (but I’d definitely check the SMTP logs to be sure).
If you found the above helpful, please consider helping us in return – you can even steer CiviCRM’s future and help us extend CiviCRM in ways useful to you.
