Error message Contribution page

Hi I have just setup a new site with Joomla and CiviCRM 3.1.4

We are offering free membership but want to allow new members to be able to contribute when they are signing up.

We created a Contribution Page with Member Section enabled.

When we check all the right boxes in both the Contribution Amounts and Membership Settings screens when we go to run the page we get this error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

This contribution page is configured to support separate contribution and membership payments. This plugin does not currently support multiple simultaneous payments. Please contact the site administrator and notify them of this error

Return to home page.
========

Can anyone help?

If enable PayPal it says "The Standard PayPal plugin does not...." at the beginning of the second sentance of the second paragraph.

UNCHECK "Separate Membership Payment" on the contribution page's "Membership Section" when configuring it.

The tooltip for that option says,

Check this box if you are including both Membership Signup/Renewal AND a Contribution Amount section, AND you want the membership fee to be handled as a separate transaction.

With this configuration, the membership fee is automatically charged, and users have an option to make an addtional contribution (two separate payment transactions will be generated).

If this option is NOT checked and you include a Contribution Amount section, then a single transaction is processed for their contribution amount which must at least cover the selected membership fee.

NOTE: This option is NOT available for PayPal Website Payments Standard and Google Checkout.
