CiviCRM and Ubercart integration
June 10, 2010, 09:54:47 am
We have a client who sells products and has memberships, donations, event registration. The optimal solution would be to allow users to purchase a product and donation and register for an event in the same transaction (shopping cart). We may require that membership be done as a separate transaction since it involves a price adjustment and possible role promotion.

There are probably several ways to do this, but I'm thinking about these parts:
1) On CiviEvent/CiviContribute creation, a Drupal product node is created (automatically).
2) On purchase of an event registration or contribution (via Ubercart), the associated record(s) are created in Civi.
3) The payment transaction would be stored in Drupal/Ubercart. As far as Civi financial reporting goes, the money for the specific Civi entities would be reportable as long as the Civi entities are marked as completed/received. Correct?

Has anyone done work on something like this? I think doing it as a Drupal module would probably make the most sense for maintainability.

Todd

Would be keen to hear if you are making any headway on this as it keeps coming up as an issue.

Something like this already exists (I think):
http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/3762
Try CiviTeacher: the online video tutorial CiviCRM learning library.

This project was started, as noted above. Latest code can be found here http://www.ubercart.org/project/uc_civicrm#comment-53704

I think it's one-way, however, meaning your #2 basically, but I'm not certain.

jakecivi, I am happy to see you have interested in Ubercart-CiviCRM integration. However, commenting on forum threads that are 3, 4 and 5 years old is not productive. All the posts on those threads are years old.

If you have any questions or concerns on the current status of this integration, please post a new thread. And please post only one thread for one subject.

Thank you.

Hershel - did not mean to violate forum etiquette; simply intended to provide information that the module has since been released on the Drupal site and save people the click through the ubercart site..
