Manually Entered Contribution Does Not Update Widget
June 17, 2010, 10:15:12 am
CiviCRM 3.1.3

I've created a contribution type called "Construction Fund" for our church and created a Contribution Page:

http://office.lafayettecc.org/members/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=2

and a widget viewable in the sidebar of http://lafayettecc.org/news/

The one contribution made through the Online Contribution Page shows up in the widget (not the pledged amount, but the actual amount--I'd like to show both), but Contributions given at church last Sunday and manually entered  as "Construction Fund" Contributions do not change the amounts in the widget.

Is this a bug or a feature, and how can I change it. The widget is no good to me if it only shows the money given via the Online Contribution Page.

You will need to associate the offline contributions with the contribution page and/or expand the widget code to attach those contributions to the widget. Either way some coding would be required. This has come up in the past and would be a good feature to add

You might want to consider contributing some code and/or hiring a developer to do the needful. This will help your church and the larger civicrm community. ping us on irc if u need help getting started
