ajax select not populating
June 21, 2010, 09:30:26 pm
hi,
i had some professional custom work done by webaccess but they dont seem to be responding to emails at the moment and this is fairly urgent...

i have an ajax select box that chooses the list of organisations in my contacts for the person who is filling out the form to choose from. in the backend both in live and test mode it works fine but in the frontend the list doesnt populate.

anybody got any ideas?

What's your CiviCRM version? Check the permissions for anonymous user. Please provide complete information about your install and why it broke.

im using joomla version 1.5.18. im not sure permissions have an effect because the problem happens in the frontend when im logged in as administrator anyway.
im using civicrm 3.1.5.

the only thing i have changed is that i migrated to another server. all settings and paths are correct (as far as im aware.)

i still don't know why it works in the joomla backend in both test-drive mode and in live mode, but then when use the form in the frontend it doesn't work.

Since you migrated your server did you try clearing /media/civicrm/templates_c?

it's brand new install. im using the custom_php and custom_templates directories.

if try clearing /media/civicrm/templates_c on a new install will it break anything?

Check if you paths are correct.

I don't think so.
