option value limit

it appears there's a limit on the number of options associated with a custom field. when i hit about 375 values the option value interface starts to break.

anyone else experience that and know of a workaround?
support CiviCRM through 'make it happen' initiatives!

the option value management screen goes crazy -- all styling disappears.

i had imported all my values direct to the db, so at first I was convinced there must be special characters screwing things up. but after a lot of testing I narrowed it down to the number of records associated with the field. i can be at the threshold, and when i try to create a new value through the interface, it blows up.

it seems to break "around" 375 -- sometimes more, sometimes less. And it's only the admin screen affected. the fields show up fine in the contact record and are usable from the frontend.

i don't *think* it's a server timeout issue or anything, as the page loads pretty quickly. but i'll do some more investigation.

I see it in Chrome, FF 3.6, Safari,... haven't tried IE yet.
