SMTP configuration
June 28, 2010, 04:38:20 am
Hi, All,

I used the following setting for CiviCRM outbound email, but it didn't work.
And I tried the same setting on my testing machine. And it worked perfectly.
Does anyone have any idea why this happened?
And where should I look into to resolve this problem? Thanks a lot.

ssl://smtp.gmail.com
port: 465
auth: yes
username: myemail@gmail.com
password: mypassword

Thanks, Kurund

I've tried the setting you suggest. But still no luck.

And then, I tried to set it to my SMTP server, using port 25 without authentication.
But it still didn't work.
Is there a way to look into what happened in the background?
I have no clue how to proceed. Please help. Thanks a lot.
