Plain text emails have all links as footnotes
June 28, 2010, 09:11:13 pm
What has happened to plain text emails in version 3?!!!??

Every link is appearing as a number in square brackets[1], with the link itself listed at the bottom below the footer.

Was this a conscious decision? It's terrible! Our email newsletters are going to look like the longest clickable bibliography in the world, if users can work out the numbering system and scroll right to the bottom.

Have I missed the 'turn everything back how it was' setting?

AHA the Plain text box that is now helpfully collapsed in Step 3 functions the same as before.

This is going to trip quite a few people up after we upgrade. I'll be spending quite a bit of extra time educating everyone about where the plain text box is.

At the very least, the links should be ABOVE the footer.
